“Pumpkin Pie Morning” is painted on a 12″ diameter round canvas! This one is intended to be a Thanksgiving theme painting!
Don’t want to run out and get a round canvas? You don’t have to! This design also works on a standard rectangular canvas.
I will say that painting on the circle is so refreshing and new! Especially if you’ve been working exclusive on rectangle for a while. It forces you to think about composition in a new, unique way!
Traceables are optional for this one and I will be teaching drawing in this lesson. If you like traceables, there will be ones available for both the circle and a standard rectangular canvas.

Here is how:
When you are logged into your account, look for the little “Bell Symbol”.
2. Then Click on the little “Settings Symbol”
3. It will take you to an email notification setting page. Then set your email notifications to “Instant”. This means that when a new tutorial is released, you will get it instantly in your inbox! Note: this is the way it has always been, however, when the software updated in June of 2026, some settings were not transferred correctly for some members.
Some other things to try…
Try adding “email@e.podia.com” AND “tracieannekiernan@gmail.com to your email contacts. These are the emails that get sent out with the new tutorial. If you add those to your email contacts, they won’t be put in Spam or Promotions.
Look in your promotions tab or Spam tabs. If it’s being sent to Spam, you can specify it not to go to that area in your email anymore. The Promotions Tab I don’t have much control over because it’s based on the algorithm of your email, however, I believe if you add either of those email addresses to your “contacts”, it shouldn’t be putting the email in that folder.

Painting is done on a canvas that is painted black and we will work with a “moody” fall color palette featuring deep reds, browns and oranges with a pop of olive green!
This painting was so much fun to create and it’s easy to get lost in! Paint a cozy rainy autumn day featuring a store front of a bookstore. Detail the window with books and fall wreath decor. You can get as detailed or simplistic as you would like with this design! Inside the tutorial is an optional traceable template which helps with drawing the lines from the building.
Note: I placed this painting in the “easy” category, however, it may be more of a “medium level” because there are quite a few details in it. All of the techniques in this painting are very beginner friendly and it’s meant to be an illustrated/ non-realistic design!

You will notice there are now “Quick Instructions” along with the traditional long PDF instructions that I write. After numerous requests, I am trialing these quick instructions which will be only 2 pages long and they have a condensed version of the tutorial. Our bonus tutorial for the month of July is a classic lantern glowing in a summer scene with fireflies and deep blue lake in the background. There is a tracer for this and drawing instructions.
This is more of a challenge painting lesson. We will be using various landscape painting techniques to create this beautiful lakeside sunset scene with the sun shining throng the trees!
