This tutorial is demonstrated on an 11 x 14 canvas with acrylics! We will be painting this delightful, enchanting and rather detailed winter wonderland scene!
I recommend splitting this painting into at least two segments. You can also decide to not do the skaters or simplify other things in the painting. Or, you can go the other direction and customize this painting and add even more details!
Are you intimidated by painting people? It’s okay! We don’t have to make them look proportional or realistic! These two people don’t even have faces. The style of this is “folk art” and “illustrative”. That means that you can let go of all the perfections and just have fun!
Oh and yes there is a traceable you can use!
Snow Owl
Learn how to paint a majestic snow owl in a blistery winter scene onto of a rustic wooden post.
Tracie will be using a traceable template in this painting tutorial. The focus will be on painting the feather texture and spotted patterns on the owl.
This is an intermediate level painting. The feather texture on the owl is a little tricky. Using the traceable template for this is super helpful!
