This is an easy level painting of a beautiful desert sunset with Joshua trees. We will be working on blending techniques in the sunset sky as well as how to add a little bit of highlighting to silhouettes to make them look like they have a little more depth.

This month’s bonus tutorial is a wishing well!
We will be painting a whimsical scene with wishing well, willow tree branches, fireflies and flowers. There is also a little blue bird perched on the top of the well. Customize this painting with different types of birds, add butterflies or fireflies. You can also change the colors of the flowers and the vines in this!
The tutorial comes with a traceable template and I do use the template in the demonstration. The well design is a little elaborate with the cobblestone, so the template is super helpful!
Level: Medium (The painting itself isn’t too difficult, there are a bit of details in this but the painting can be simplified). Various techniques that may be challenging include: grass painting, faux wood painting & tree branch painting.
